Close to my heart

Annie was only a few weeks old when she was found in Michigan, her mom had died and she had lost the will to eat (and you will never be able to tell now). She was tiny, but very cute, and she had the loudest meow in the adoption room. I took her out and played with her for a while, after I put her back in the cage, she sat by the door and looked at me, she would not stop meowing. I did not want to leave her, but she was too young to come home with me and they could not reserve her for me. I went back daily to see her because I had already fallen in love with her. Finally, one day, Lori, the vet on site, told me if I wanted to take her home, I could. She has been such a joy in my life ever since.

Jeremy is not really my cat, he's Annie's cat. I had to get her a playmate because she was bothering Lucy all the time. I got him about 3 months after I got Annie. He was a very handsome little kitten with the sweetest meow. One look at him and I knew he was mine, I mean Annie's.

I got both Annie and Jeremy at Buddy Dogs Humane Society located in Sudbury. It is a no-kill shelter, very clean, the staff are great. Go check it out, despite the name, they have lots of cats for adoption.
